FRUITS FOR IRON DEFICIENCY

Are You Feeling tired and drained out? You need to bump up your iron intake. Lack of iron results in lack of oxygen supply in the body and can lead to blood related diseases. If you can’t stomach spinach and other dark leafy vegetables, consume more of the following fruits to reverse iron deficiency.

PRUNE
Prunes are easily available in major cities and this fruit is one of the best sources of iron content. It is also a good source of vitamin C, which is beneficial as it helps absorb iron in the body.

PEACH

It is recommended to consume dried peaches to reverse iron deficiency. When the peaches are dried, iron content is higher. Peaches make a great accompaniment for a snack or it can be added to your breakfast cereals.

APRICOT
Dried apricots are a potent source of iron. It is one the best source of replenishing your daily iron dose. You can have it fresh ones but dried apricots are load with iron and minus the natural sugar.

RAISIN
These dried grapes work well on desserts and even for a bowl of cereals. But to make the best of raisins, consume it with a glass of orange or lime juice to increase the absorption of iron in the body. Vitamin C is also important for increase iron level as it improves iron absorption

STRAWBERRY
This fruit contain small amounts of iron but it is also rich in vitamin C. This helps to boost the production of haemoglobin in the body.

APPLE
Apples have some amount of iron but a good source of vitamin C. Hence apples are beneficial to absorb iron from other fruits. Hence it is important to consume apples to prevent iron deficiency.
